Open House Webinar with Professor Bruno Amable
Guest: Bruno Amable
Moderation: Max Krahé
Registration: via Zoom
Description: As French citizens go to the polls on Sunday to elect a president, we would like to turn to the implications of the elections for French politics and economic policy.
What changes can we expect for France and the EU under the newly elected president? What does the election result tell us about the state of French politics and French society? What kind of mandate can the new president expect? What challenges will he or she face?
We look forward to diving into French politics with Professor Bruno Amable in our next Open House Webinar on 28 April at 7pm. Bruno is a professor of political economy at the University of Geneva, on leave from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is also the author of the book The Last Neoliberal: Macron and the Origins of France’s Political Crisis (also available in German as Von Mitterrand zu Macron: Über den Kollaps des französischen Parteiensystems, Suhrkamp), and winner of the “Prix du meilleur jeune économiste de France”.
This event will be held in English (with written questions in German or English). We kindly ask you to register in advance. We will send out the dial-in details on 25 April.
