Clara Leonard is the general director and co-founder of the think tank Institut Avant-garde. She holds a PhD in economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
  • Research fields: financing of the green transition, public financing tools, economic history, European economic reforms.

  • Professional experience: Clara is working on French and European economic policy as the general director of the Institut Avant-garde. She has multiple years of experience working for the French Treasury on EU institutional reforms, the banking union, and macroeconomic assessments. She has also worked as a market economist at BNP Paribas in London focussing on monetary policy and currency markets.
